What does it mean to live in a democracy? Hosts of the weekly podcast, “Democracy Works,” will discuss this question and lead a Q&A at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown on Thursday, May 2, at 2 p.m., in the Freemasons Cultural Center’s Deike Auditorium. Masonic Village is located at One Masonic Drive in Elizabethtown.

Each week, Penn State University’s McCourtney Institute for Democracy tackles this question from a different angle on its “Democracy Works” podcast. The show was launched in March 2018 and has covered topics such as gerrymandering, civics education and political polarization. Hosts include Michael Berkman, Chris Beem and Jenna Spinelle.
