Find Your Fit and Fill a Need

Masonic Villages’ volunteer program offers people of all ages the opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and residents, learn a variety of skills, develop new interests and, of course, feel the satisfaction of helping others. Youth and adult community members and residents assist Masonic Villages in spreading our Mission of Love by volunteering their hearts and hands. Their impact is immeasurable.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, and we’ll try to best match your interests with our needs. Volunteers help our residents and staff in countless ways including assisting with recreational activities, creative arts and music therapy; reading mail and writing letters with our residents; hosting at meal times; escorting residents on walks or to in-house appointments; and just spending time socializing and reminiscing with our residents, who are always looking for someone to share their stories with.

Individual and group opportunities vary from location to location, so please contact your preferred Masonic Village campus below. Thank you for your interest in furthering our mission!

Important Notice: To comply with the federal mandate from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for healthcare organizations, Masonic Villages requires COVID-19 vaccines for all volunteers. All volunteers must have one shot of a vaccine, prior to starting their service and the second dose of a two-shot regimen per guidelines. Booster shots are not currently required. Volunteers may apply for medical and religious exemptions.

Summer Youth Volunteer Program

Elizabethtown and Sewickley Locations

Teens looking to gain experience in a health care environment, make new friends, build their resume and earn service hours for their school or organization can volunteer through the summer program. Interested youth, ages 13 and older, may contact Volunteer Services between April 1 and Memorial Day each year to participate in the program.

Teens are required to attend a full-day orientation (usually held in June) and are asked to volunteer the same day and time each week. Scholarship opportunities are available for graduating seniors from Elizabethtown Area High School and Quaker Valley High School who volunteer at least 100 hours with Masonic Village.

Adult Volunteers

If you are over the age of 18 and you are interested in volunteering at the Elizabethtown campus, please complete the adult volunteer application.

Hospice Volunteers

You can make a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. Visit patients, provide office support, aid with activities and events, play music for patients or bring in your pet for patients to enjoy. Depending on your skills, interests and schedule, there are a multitude of volunteer opportunities available throughout Lancaster, Dauphin, Lebanon and Eastern York counties. Visit patients and make a difference close to your home. Patients may live in nursing or personal care homes or in private residences.
