Everyone needs hope. We need hope that our life matters, but we also need hope that there is more to life than this life tomorrow.

Life does terrible things to some people. As a matter of fact, life does harsh things to each and every one of us. Somewhere along the road we have to learn how to deal with the harsh facts.

The human brain is not capable of grasping the idea of a spiritual realm or of eternity. These are truly beyond our understanding. All we can do is use a simile, an analogy, a metaphor.

God creates us to be good, and if we live well, love God and help others, we can grow into a beautiful person. If we get lost or fail to follow God's teachings, we can be seeds that never grow.

The art of living is not so much our ability to pick one path and pursue it to the end. It has more to do with how well we can change paths and shift directions when the situation demands it.
