A Love for the Ages
Married for 72 years on Aug. 26, 2022, it is clear that Jim and Mary Whitacre’s love story is one for the ages. Since meeting in 1949 and marrying the following year, they have celebrated the arrival of four children, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The Best Things Come in Pairs
Identical twins Kitty Brandt and Lois Vaughn have called Masonic Village at Elizabethtown home for longer than most residents. First moving on campus at just 13 years old, the sisters have since returned for retirement – as neighbors!
Getting Back to Life and Each Other
Denise and Gerald “Jerry” Francis were not planning to move, but sometimes life doesn't go as planned. In early May 2021, Jerry became critically ill, and after multiple surgeries, he was given little hope of survival. Rehabilitation at Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill gave him hope for recovery and the possibility of reuniting with his wife of more than 50 years.
“Big” and “Loud” Efforts to Treat Parkinson’s Disease at Masonic Village
To better help residents dealing with Parkinson's disease, Masonic Village at Elizabethtown's Outpatient Rehabilitation department has incorporated some new programming and technology into their treatment approach.
A Dream Retirement
When Curt and Pat Alt decided they wanted to downsize last June, they selected Masonic Village at Dallas because it was a small, quiet community close to their family and offered maintenance-free living.
